
Bérangère Deschamps is a University Professor in Management Sciences at the University of Grenoble Alpes and a researcher at CERAG. She presented a habilitation to direct research on business transfers in 2014. She is the author of about twenty articles in scientific journals, and about fifteen book chapters.
In 2000, her thesis focused on one type of transfer: the takeover process by individuals outside the acquired company. She is the author, with Robert Paturel, of the book Reprendre une entreprise saine ou en difficultés, published by Dunod (2001, 2005, 2009). In 2011, she coordinated a book with Louise Cadieux from UQTR that brings together the points of view of the seller and the buyer on each stage of the process (Le duo cédant-repreneur, pour une compréhension intégrée de la transmission-reprise des PME, published by Presses de l’Université du Québec).
Since 2010, she has been collaborating with Luis Cisnéros of HEC Montréal on family transfers in siblings. She leads with Didier Chabaud (IAE of Paris) a research group on business transfers gathering about forty European researchers. She is a member of the AIREPME Board of Directors and participates in the evaluation committees of 7 journals and in the scientific committee of RIPME.
